Australian Energy Law Seminar - Energy Law and Sustainable Development with Professor Adrian Bradbrook: 23 August 2007

This seminar aims to identify and establish sustainable energy as the central issue that must be addressed in the legal debate on sustainable development rather than leaving it at its periphery, where it has languished to date. In order to achieve this goal the project will devise a comprehensive legal management regime for achieving a sustainable energy future.

Professor Adrian Bradbrook lectures and researches in energy law, with particular interest in sustainable energy law. He is a Fellow of the International Energy Foundation (Canada) (2000); a consultant to various agencies of the United Nations in its projects on the development of energy conservation legislation; Chair of the Working Group on Climate Change and Energy of the IUCN Commission on Environmental Law (1998-2001); Member, Board of Directors, International Energy Foundation (since 1996); and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Energy (since 1990); He is a Member of the Editorial Boards of the Journal of Energy and Natural Resources Law and the Australasian Journal of Natural Resources Law and Policy.
